A proposal for how India could be governed — and the group behind it
Two different things live on this site: what Pragati Shakti is today, and the government it proposes to run. This page keeps them apart.
Who created this, what it is, and who maintains it

- Pragati Shakti is at the proposal stage. It is not a registered political party and does not hold, and has never held, office at any level of government.

- This proposal and website were created by a small founding group of citizens and professionals working in their personal capacity.
- Who maintains it
- The site is maintained by the founding group. Content changes are made through a version-controlled repository so that every edit to a commitment, number or policy is recorded.
- Registration
- Registration with the Election Commission of India: to be published when applied for.

- contact@pragatishakti.org — we reply to every message; where it concerns a policy, our response is published on that policy's page. Postal address: to be published.

Items marked “to be published” are intentionally blank until the founding group publishes them. We do not fill gaps with placeholders that look like facts.
The actual people, by role and disclosure
Names, roles and interest disclosures of the founding team: to be published. When published, each person will be listed by role with a public conflict-of-interest disclosure, as required by the organisation's own rules under How we would govern › Organisational governance.
By design there is no leader photograph and no personality branding anywhere on this site. Leadership is meant to be replaceable; institutions are meant to outlast leaders.
How a Pragati Shakti government would be organised
This is a proposal. None of these bodies exists today.

Every initiative would have one accountable owner, expressed as a role. The national leader would not be the approval bottleneck; mission leads would own their backlogs within the Council's published guard-rails.

Focus, measurement, transparency, experimentation, accountability, federalism
Seven missions, not dozens. Explicit work-in-progress limits.
Outcomes, not inputs. Sourced baselines; append-only records.
Organisational finances now; a government disclosure model for later.
Labs would let policies fail cheaply first.
